I have been teaching piano since my university years from beginners to advanced level. I have vast experience in teaching students of different ages and skills, and preparing them for ABRSM practical and theory examinations. I am able to provide lessons according to each student’s needs and progress, with patience, inspiration, and step-by-step approach to the piano music. I have worked with young children, students, and working professionals. My teaching has a strong focus on the importance of a solid foundation of piano techniques, creative expression in music and discipline of piano practice. 

 

I hold a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK, where I was a recipient of the RNCM Entrance Scholarship. I completed my Bachelor of Art in Music degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I studied musicianship, music theory, music history, music analysis, ethnomusicology and conducting. I have performed in masterclasses with Prof. Rolf Plagge (Salzburg Mozarteum), Stefano Fiuzzi (Florence Music Conservatory Cherubini), and Prof. Andrzej Jasiński (Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy, the University of Music in Katowice). 

 

I founded City Piano Tutoring in 2019 and I teach on a grand piano in North Greenwich, London.
